The Director of Product Marketing, will work closely with the product and marketing organizations and will be responsible for managing, steering, and creating product-specific marketing content and programs. This person will have a understanding of to tune funnel efficiency from product evaluation through purchasing, onboarding, and customer success. A successful candidate will have experience and passion around packaging, positioning, messaging, launching and evangelizing VictorOps products and features.
Our primary languages for developing backend software is Scala/Ruby using an Agile development process.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing product go-to-market strategies as well as leading and managing all product / feature launch activities including cross-functional launch management, messaging, sales enablement, internal training, customer communication, and driving post-launch product / feature adoption.
  • Collaborate sales, product, success and marketing teams to create effective sales and competitive tools; and helping to bring the Voice of the Customer into the business.
  • Work with product and customer success to understand customer feature adoption behavior. Profile customer behavior, segment customers based on behaviors, and identify strategies to retain and drive upsell opportunities based on identified patterns.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop processes for synthesizing customer and market data to prioritize roadmap items, drive customer value, and optimize go-to-market strategies based on buyer needs.

Day-to-Day

  • Oversee new product go-to-market strategy and launch execution
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver product-specific content and projects
  • Work closely with the Content Strategy team to ensure that messages, value proposition and other content is consistent and integrated across all touchpoints
  • Stay close to the competition by regularly evaluating competitive product offerings, and arming Sales with information, battle cards, and sell-against collateral
  • Update competitive matrices, sharing key differentiators and themes to use in integrated campaigns, updating sell-against materials
  • Create content that dives deep into specific product features, integrations, use cases
  • Collect customer product testimonials and case studies
  • Continually iterate on buyer / user personas
  • Test and validate potential new offerings (features and messages) with prospects and customers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years marketing / product marketing experience
  • 3-5+ years product marketing experience within high-tech environment preferred
  • high-tech startup environment experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing – MBA a plus
  • Highly driven and self-motivated, comfortable with autonomy and driving initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects
  • Ability to operate in a strategic capacity with limited supervision
  • Excellent people, management and organizational skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams as well as 3rd parties
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple projects and personalities and all times

Product Marketing Manager (PMM)

Dept: Product | Reports to: VP of Product | Location: Boulder, CO

Product marketing and management are the heart of a SaaS business. In this role you will be a critical aspect of this core, helping inform, define and articulate Kapost’s offering. The primary responsibility of the PMM is to work closely with product, sales, customer success, and customers to design positioning and communications that drive growth for Kapost by:

  • Listening: This role requires a tenacious curiosity, engaging with sales, reading analyst reports, digging into competitive intel and becoming an expert in our product.
  • Synthesizing: A core aspect of this role is synthesizing large amounts of data from multiple sources into insights, priorities, and strategies that shape messaging and inform product direction.
  • Shaping: Articulating Kapost’s offering and positioning in the market through content, web copy, pitch decks, and other forms of communication.
  • Sharpening: Edit, learn, refine, edit – this role involves constantly sharpening our tools and finding how we can be more effective with every touch point.
  • Communicating: Working with sales and success to communicate key insights and enable various teams with the learning and materials they need to be successful.
  • Learning: Measure, analyze and learn how our message and story is performing and developing recommendations for how we can adjust and improve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industry and competitive intelligence.
  • Working with sales and attending sales calls to maintain a map of key sales situations and objections.
  • Owning win/loss/churn calls to understand and report on strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.
  • Developing key content and materials to support the sales team, website and other product related communications.
  • Translating key industry, customer, sales, and competitive insights into briefings for product that help shape and influence product strategy.
  • Refining sales pitch materials and contextualizing our pitch to specific sales situations.
  • Provide recommendations on pricing strategy.
  • Planning and facilitating customer advisory sessions.

  • Demonstrated product marketing/project management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in SaaS-based sales and marketing, particularly serving marketers.
  • Skilled in taking feedback while working independently.

You are able to learn new skills and technology quickly and have some experience of communicating and pursuing a vision with business stakeholders.  Your strong collaboration skills have marked you out as a team player whilst your ownership and drive has shown team members you can lead.

As the Product Manager, Web & Network Security Products, based out of our Broomfield, CO, or San Diego, CA, office, you will be responsible for delivering the vision and strategy for your portfolio across our various channels globally. Working closely with the Sales, Marketing teams and partners, you will be an authority and evangelist on activities in this space. You will be directly responsible for new product releases, and managing older service offerings to closure (EOL).

As your Product Management skills may still be emerging you will receive coaching, feedback and training opportunities from the first day you join Webroot. Your colleagues in the Product team have a diverse range of product experience and are invested in your success.

You possess a blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will be a knowledgeable on Web security software technologies or Network Security Space and be able to quickly ramp up knowledge on Machine Learning technologies applied in the Next Generation Cyber Security market – this is a critical area as your role expands over time.

Webroot uses an Agile (Scrum) development methodology, and you will work with Product Owner counterparts to execute the product roadmap and define the associated release requirements for the development team.

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this high focus role will challenge your emerging Product Management skill set or redefine your previous experience with responsibility for products managed within a $100M+ portfolio.
Responsibilities:

  • Own and understand market needs and build product vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Measuring the success of the product from multiple perspectives, beyond P&L;
  • Partner with Product owners and development teams to deliver world-class applications with input from customers, prospects, analysts, advisory teams and internal product experts.
  • Make tough prioritization choices and find creative solutions to hard problems.
  • Drive entire feature delivery lifecycle: research customer/user needs; assist in writing user stories with Product owners; partner with UX team to design and prototype; work with engineering to develop, test and deliver a marketable product on time; collaborate with customer facing roles to drive market awareness and customer adoption.
  • Represent Webroot as a domain and product expert.
  • Managing the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Define and contribute to pricing, positioning, and sales/marketing collaterals
